And you may wonder why. The answer is simple - you were strong through the diet and your body put up with all the nonsense you did-not-feed it and the weight came off. But you missed one very important aspect concerning weight - you did not re-train your body; you did not change your eating habits for the long term, but as soon as you finished the diet you returned to eating those foods that had put the weight on originally.

The way to go about it is to choose sensibly the foods that you consume. Use and listen to your common sense, your conscience!

When you go to have that third double dipped chocolate cookie, consider the move ... slow down and allow your brain to get into gear and control the immediate urge to eat; you brain will tell you if it is sensible or not to have a third cookie!

The foods you choose to eat are usually those high in sugars and salts - both of these are substances that are addictive (in a mild manner); the body loves these and whilst you give in to it, it will crave for more and you give in and supply these and in due course those foods that are high in sugars and salts become your normal everyday fare - french fries, burgers, cookies and cakes etc.

You need to seriously address your approach to this problem and the simplest, easiest, foolproof way is simply not to buy them when you go shopping. If they are not in the house they will not be there to tempt you. But you will need substitutes as the cravings from your body will be intense, so stock up on lots of wisely chosen products such as fresh vegetables and fruit, nuts, grains and the various seeds available. Have lots of soy (tofu) that you can fry (without oil, adding a little of your favorite bbq sauce and a little water) - do not deprive yourself of food at all, just be sensible in the choice of foods that you have available and that you consume.
